Every profile has a Wall — share what you're playing, what you're hyped for, or just say hi. Posts are short (280 chars), can optionally tag a game, and other members can react with 👍 ❤️ 😂 🎮 🔥 🎉. Pin one favourite post to the top of your wall and it'll stay there forever. There's also an emoji picker baked into the composer for quick reactions, in case your keyboard doesn't have a shortcut handy.
Anyone logged in can comment on a wall post — flat replies (no reply-to-reply nesting), capped at 280 characters each. The post author is tagged "OP" on their own replies so it's easy to follow the conversation. Click the 💬 count under any post to expand the thread.
Wall posts from people you follow appear in your homepage activity feed. Posts from strangers don't — they're for followers only, so the global feed stays focused on game activity. Posts older than six months are tucked away behind a "Show older posts" button to keep walls feeling current.
If something crosses the line, every post and every comment has a Report button — flagged items go to a moderator queue.
Find people to play with in real time. Tap the red 👥 icon on any online-multiplayer game in your collection to host a session — choose Live with a 1/2/4-hour timer, or Open with no expiry. Other Switch Plaza members can then tap Join on your session to show they're in.
Sessions can use either your Switch friend code or a per-session Room Code — perfect for games like Mario Kart World, Smash arenas, or anything else that uses lobby codes. Browse all active sessions on the Find Players page (open to everyone — sign up to see contact codes and join in).
Watch Switch Plaza members stream live on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and more. The Streamers page lists everyone currently live, the game they're playing, and a one-tap Watch link straight to their channel. Filter by platform to find exactly the content you want.
Streaming yourself? Hit 🔴 Go Live on the Streamers page — pick your platform, paste your channel URL, tell us what you're playing, and choose a duration (1/2/4/8 hours). Your stream appears on the page for the whole community to discover. One active stream per user — updating is as easy as starting a new one.
Spot a game that hasn’t released yet? Hit "Notify me" and you’ll get an alert on release day, so you never miss a launch.
Switch Plaza learns from your collection and suggests games you might enjoy based on the genres and publishers you play most. New to the site? You’ll see what’s popular with the community until your profile builds up.

Ask anything in plain English. The Plaza Assistant lives in the bottom-right of every page and can help you find games by genre, console, price, features, release date, and more. Try "best Switch 2 RPGs", "games under £20", "what releases this week", or "tell me about Zelda".
It's available to everyone — no account needed. Responses are powered entirely by our own database, with no external AI services involved.
Subscribe to our weekly email for a roundup of games released that week, community highlights, upcoming releases, and top news. You can opt in during registration or from your profile settings at any time.
Share any game on X, Reddit, WhatsApp, or Facebook directly from the game page. Discover similar titles through the Similar Games feature and explore what else is out there.
Switch Plaza respects your privacy. This section explains how we collect, use, and protect your data in compliance with the UK GDPR and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Account data: When you register, we store your username, email address, and hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
Usage data: We store your game collections, wishlists, ratings, reviews, quiz results, and XP progress to provide the core service.
Session data: We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This is essential for the site to function and is not used for tracking.
Plaza Assistant chats: Messages sent to the Plaza Assistant chatbot are logged anonymously — they are never linked to your account or IP address. We keep them for up to 30 days to spot common questions and improve the assistant's answers, after which they are automatically deleted. No chat content is ever shared with third parties or external AI services.
Switch Plaza offers an optional "Sign in with Google" button. When you choose to use it, we receive a limited set of information from Google's OAuth service. The following sections describe how that data is handled. This section is provided in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
1. Data Accessed. If — and only if — you choose to sign in with Google, we request the following Google user data via OAuth 2.0 scopes:
We do not request any other Google scopes. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, photos, or any other Google product. If you sign in only with a username and password, no Google user data is collected at all.
2. Data Usage. The Google user data we receive is used solely for the following purposes:
We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, training AI/ML models, selling, or any purpose unrelated to operating your Switch Plaza account. We do not transfer Google user data to any third-party tool, analytics platform, or external AI service.
3. Data Sharing. We do not share Google user data with any third party. The only exception is when disclosure is required by law (e.g., a valid court order) or strictly necessary to protect against fraud, abuse, or security threats to Switch Plaza or its users. Switch Plaza does not sell user data, does not embed third-party analytics that receive Google user data, and does not pass Google user data to advertising partners. Google AdSense (used elsewhere on the site) operates only on cookie-based advertising signals and never receives data we obtained from Google Sign-In.
4. Data Storage & Protection. Google user data is stored on our server in an SQLite database located on a private VPS. The database file is accessible only to the Switch Plaza application process and the site administrator. Specifically:
users table; passwords are not stored for Google-only accounts.5. Data Retention & Deletion. We retain Google user data for as long as your Switch Plaza account remains active. You can request deletion at any time via either of the following routes:
You can also revoke Switch Plaza's access to your Google account at any time, independently of deleting your Switch Plaza account, by visiting your Google Account → Third-party apps with account access and removing "Switch Plaza". Doing so prevents future Google sign-ins; existing data on Switch Plaza is unaffected unless you also request deletion via one of the routes above.

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Sessions are stored server-side in an encrypted database. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except as required for advertising (Google AdSense) when you consent to cookies.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings — all personal data is permanently removed immediately.
Plaza Assistant chat logs (anonymous) are kept for 30 days and then automatically deleted. Aggregate page view analytics are kept for 90 days.
